Spring 2025 Internship Opportunity for USF Undergraduate Students

Join the Ocean Circulation Lab (OCL), Center for Ocean Mapping and Innovative Technologies (COMIT), and Glider Operations Group at the USF College of Marine Science (CMS) for an unforgettable internship experience.
We are offering FOUR paid, semester-long internships at the College of Marine Science in St. Petersburg | $18/hr and approximately 8 hours per week.
Dive into cutting-edge research and gain hands-on experience in:
- Oceanographic Research: Work on real-world projects, from planning and data collection to analysis and interpretation.
- Technological Innovation: Develop and deploy advanced sensors and assist in ocean circulation model validation.
- Fieldwork and Data Collection: Participate in exciting field experiences, such as deploying water quality stations, integrating sensors on autonomous vehicles, and launching surface drifters to study ocean circulation.
- Scientific Communication: Share your findings with the public through engaging blog posts, social media, and presentations.
As an intern, you will:
- Expand your skill set: Perform and produce as accountable and essential members of a supportive research team.

Ideal candidates:
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior USF undergraduate students majoring (or seeking to expand their skills sets) in marine science, oceanography, engineering, communications, or related fields.
- Passionate about the ocean and environmental science.
- Strong interest in research and innovation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
